This just in....

The Benson's have just found out that we closed on our house in NC on Friday. Our realtor was only three days late giving us the news. Nice of her!
I can't tell you how exciting it is to know that we don't have to take care of two houses now, a big stress has been taken off my shoulders. We are FREE!!! I can see us celebrating tonight, maybe having to helpings of dessert from our Nutri system box.

Other then our house closing this past weekend we didn't do much. The weather has been great so just kicking the kids outside to play was about the extent of our weekend.
Oh yes, we did go over to Justin's bosses house for dinner just to get to know everyone. It was a nice evening kids played out side while the parents talked inside.

I've been going to my new Ward at church and there is a lot of wonderful people, of course that's how it's been for every ward I've gone too. It's weird though I'm use to being around more military families and we are the only one, so it's hard talking about deployments, TDY's, BAH's, when no one knows what the heck you are talking about. The kids love there new teachers and Jack loves to walk the halls and go into the Library to open and close the doors, they ladies in there just love him. Two more months and it is nursery time!!

I did start teaching Hannah her school lessons last week, so far she is doing good, but I can tell she is getting board. She needs to be around more kids and I'm trying to get her involved in Gymnastics, plus we go to the gym or I should say we try and go to the gym everyday. But for learning I think she would have funner learning if she had other kids around, and she could if I just wanted to choke up $200 month for pre school. So not going happen!! So for now me teaching her will just have to do.

That's all for now,
Ginger

Well I never know what the military lingo you guys throw around means!!

It is so fun to see all that you guys are up to. I am glad that you are liking your new ward. I am sure they are all scrambling to look as cute as you and your kids!

Hi Ginger, I'm a friend of the Mackeys, I hope you don't mind, I wandered to your blog from Andrea's. I love how you put a recipe at the bottom, I think I'm going to copy that! :) I had to comment on this post, I know just how you feel. We were the ONLY members on our base in Spain and had to go to the local ward where they knew nothing about american or military life. We were also in another ward in Vegas with only a few other military families. It can be tough, but you will probably find you have a TON to offer with your more "global views" from military life, and you don't take for granted so many things that "civi"-families do. :) You seem like a great family, SUPER cute kids! Best of luck! -Tara :)

Hello! I'm a friend of the Roundy's and Newcomer's. We'll be moving back to Hope Mills soon. We're in the Mount Vernon Ward up here. Which one are you guys in?
We've just loved being stationed here. So much to do and so many great people to meet...nevermind the traffic. Cute blog. Hope you don't mind my being nosey. Cheers!

Hey Women, good to see you have your blog up and running again. I am the worst friend ever, so I am leaving a comment so that I can upgrade my status to busy friend. It looks like you guys have been busy yourselves since the move. Glad to hear the girls are loving it up there. We're still planning to make a trip up that way, but it has been put on hold. Maybe the girls and I will go sight seeing up your way while Jav is gone.

Hey don't forget to check the library. They might have story hours, and other information for you to do with Hannah (most of the time free stuff).
