Let me just say, "I hate running, but boy, do I love a runner's body." So at the beginning of the new year I made a goal to run a mile a month and add a lap a week. I started off at running a flat mile; that was hard. But I did it, each week I added a lap and as of today I made it up to two miles. YEAH!!! My legs were burning and when I got off the tred-mill they felt like rubber. Now I can't run anything less then two miles, I can only go forward. I will keep going until my knees give out on me. Lets hope it wont be long!!! J/K. I have more goals I would like to see be accomplished this year, I would love to join a mountain biking club. Lets see what happens with that.
For those of you who KNOW me, I have always been over weight. Yes, it's true. I started off at 200 pounds, and thanks to the magic little pills called Phen-fen I dropped 60 pounds. Can I get an AMEN!!! Of course we all know what getting married and having kids can do to one's body. I have been on a diet roller coaster for ten years now and I'm so tired of it. I'm at; and I will be honest, on a good day 148 on a bad 150. I'm making the year 2008 my year to get to my goal weight of 135-140, thats only 10+ pounds, but it has been my hardest. I love going to the gym, I go when ever I can, I'm up for anything new(running). If anyone has any new advice they can give me; give it!!!
My husband and I joined Nutrie-system in September I lost 6 pounds and have been stuck ever since. We got off the program right before Christmas; mistake? I don't know. I will admit I did gain a couple pounds over the holidays, who doesn't. But if it is one thing the program made us realize it how much we over ate. All I can say, is cut everything in half.
As of this week I would like to start posting my progress, I hope to share my weight loss with everyone; brave!!! I will start off by saying I weight 150, and HOPE to loose a pound a week. Am I doing it for anyone? MYSELF!!! If you would like to join me, feel free. I hope this will help me and who ever else feels inspired to do so.
I will also try and post healthier Recipes of the Week.

Yay Ginger! I would love to join you after May...when I will have lots of extra flab! If you get into running, you should do a marathon! Check out Pink Kristi's blog and how she trained and ran. She even trained almost every day pushing her two littlest girls in a jogger. You can do it! Yay Ginger!!
So this post could have been typed by my fingers. I love a runners' body too. I want to lose that much weight and weigh that much. I am having a really hard time motivating myself right now.
My one piece of advice for you is subscribe to runner's world, it is such a motivating magazine. It is for people just starting out on up to people that have been running for 40 years. Go buy one off the news stand and see if you agree. My friend would go check them out from the Library and let me borrow them, I thought it was great.
